Dear friends,
In June 2016, Romanian Guvernment has instituted the National Catalogue of Virgin and quasi-virgin Forests, a new, real and official instrument for recording and managing the forests from our country and to ensure their strict protection.
After a thorough inventory of the forests under FCC’s protection, we are pleased to announce that we have found additional 373 hectars to be introduced in the National Catalogue. This comes on top of the over 8,000 ha of our forests, which we have already fully protected via the Fagaras Mountains Natura 2000 management plan or included into the core area of Piatra Craiului National Park.
